Elkin Family Dentistry was started in July, 1995 by Dr. Chad M. Elkin when he took over the practice from Dr. Richard Bartlett. Dr. Chad practiced solo for 3 years while Dr. Carrie Ann finished dental school at the University of Iowa, which is where they met.  The doctors were married the day after Dr. Carrie Ann graduated and they have been practicing together ever since. After almost 15 years, they out grew their space and the time came to make the decision to expand. This was a long process which involved searching for the right location, designing the office lay out, construction and  moving into the new building.

The new office at 2500 Bobcat Way became a reality in December, 2015. This could not have happened without the wonderful teamwork at Elkin Family Dentistry. Our team consists of both Drs. Chad and Carrie Ann, two Hygienists, Leesa and Lena, two Dental Assistants,  Becky and Julie, and our Office Manager, Leslie who has been with the practice since 1996. Come see us! We welcome new patients and look forward to meeting you and taking care of your dental health! We are wheelchair accessible, have 7 treatment rooms, and see patients of all ages.

Our mission is to provide exceptional dental care in a caring and compassionate environment. You deserve the very best care we can provide and you will always be treated as a member of our family. We will do our best each visit to make your experience as pleasant and rewarding as possible. Welcome to your new dental home!

Adult Initial Exam
This appointment is an opportunity for you to get to know us. You will first meet the Doctor and discuss your concerns ; for example: missing, broken or crowded teeth, difficulty in chewing, etc. A full mouth series of x-rays will be done followed by a complete oral exam by the doctor. If treatment is needed, a treatment plan will be made and sequenced. What type of cleaning you will need will be determined at the end of this appointment and it will be scheduled.
Child Initial Exam
This appointment is an opportunity for your child to have a positive start at our dental office. Depending on the age of the child, a panoramic x-ray and bite wing x-rays could be made along with a full oral exam, followed by a cleaning and fluoride application. Any treatment concerns will be treatment planned and sequenced and discussed with the parent/guardian.
Baby Initial Exam
This is an opportunity for parents to ask the doctor about home care, diet, erupting teeth concerns, etc. Generally a limited exam is done with the help of the parent while the child is on his or her lap.
