ABOUT US
Elkin Family Dentistry was started in July, 1995 by Dr. Chad M. Elkin when he took over the practice from Dr. Richard Bartlett. Dr. Chad practiced solo for 3 years while Dr. Carrie Ann finished dental school at the University of Iowa, which is where they met. The doctors were married the day after Dr. Carrie Ann graduated and they have been practicing together ever since. After almost 15 years, they out grew their space and the time came to make the decision to expand. This was a long process which involved searching for the right location, designing the office lay out, construction and moving into the new building.
The new office at 2500 Bobcat Way became a reality in December, 2015. This could not have happened without the wonderful teamwork at Elkin Family Dentistry. Our team consists of both Drs. Chad and Carrie Ann, two Hygienists, Leesa and Megan, two Dental Assistants, Julie and Kimbrli, and our Office Manager, Teresa. Come see us! We welcome new patients and look forward to meeting you and taking care of your dental health! We are wheelchair accessible, have 7 treatment rooms, and see patients of all ages.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to provide exceptional dental care in a caring and compassionate environment. You deserve the very best care we can provide and you will always be treated as a member of our family. We will do our best each visit to make your experience as pleasant and rewarding as possible. Welcome to your new dental home!

OUR SERVICES
PREVENTIVE CARE
Preventive services are just what they sound like. We help prevent future dental problems caused by tooth wear, decay or gum disease (periodontitis). These services include cleanings, sealants, fluoride application, night guards and sports mouth guards.
COSMETIC
These services include whitening, re-contouring, crowns, veneers, implants and bridges. Whether it is a limited improvement or overall cosmetic improvement, the patient’s desires help dictate the treatment plan.
DIGITAL DENTISTRY
We have been using digital scanning technology for crowns, veneers and bridges since January 2019. We have recently added the Primescan from Dentsply Sirona. Scanning technology replaces the physical impression (which is the tray and an elastic material that has to be in the mouth for minutes while it sets). The scanner is moved around the tooth and gum tissue for 3 different views then the computer collects the necessary information for fabrication of the crown, veneer or bridge. The final restoration is 3D milled out of a solid block of material (zirconia or lithium disilicate). We also provide gold crowns utilizing the scanner. The superior accuracy of digital dentistry is very impressive and has been rewarding for us. We look forward to sharing this technology with you.
RESTORATIVE

This is what is most commonly referred to as “fillings”. These are restorations that are placed into teeth after decay is removed. We restore teeth with tooth colored filling material called composite.
RECONSTRUCTION
This is an overall rebuilding process to regain lost tooth structure from wear or from actual loss of teeth. Some of these types of cases require a “team approach” by working with some of our local dental specialists, i.e. Periodontist, Orthodontist, Oral Surgeon or Endodontist.
